Dr. Justin Gonzalez currently serves as the PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program Director and a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Brownsville. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences from The University of Texas at Austin and his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy. Following pharmacy school, he completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at St. David's Medical Center in Austin, Texas, and subsequently achieved board certification in both Pharmacotherapy and Critical Care Pharmacy.

At Valley Baptist, Dr. Gonzalez serves as a preceptor for pharmacy residents and student pharmacists during their ICU learning experiences. He is an active member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), and his professional interests include critical care and cardiology. Outside of pharmacy, Justin enjoys rooting for the Texas Longhorns, singing karaoke, and spending time with family.
