Dr. Alberto Matamoros is a Clinical Pharmacist and Vaccine Coordinator at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Brownsville. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Texas A&M Irma Lerma Rangel College of Pharmacy and completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Brownsville. He is board certified in Pharmacotherapy and Emergency Medicine Pharmacy.

As a preceptor for pharmacy residents and student pharmacists, Dr. Matamoros provides training in Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine practice areas. His professional interests include emergency medicine, internal medicine, infectious diseases, and vaccine services. Outside of the pharmacy, Alberto enjoys spending time with family and clay shooting.
