Valley Baptist Medical Center-Harlingen Advancing Imaging Technology in Cameron County

Valley Baptist Medical Center-Harlingen continues to bring advanced imaging technology and capabilities to improve the care of patients in Cameron County.

Early this year, Valley Baptist unveiled the 3 Tesla MRI Imaging (3T MRI).  The 3TMRI is the most advanced imaging technology of its kind and setting the standard in medical imaging.  The 3T MRI produces clearer images of anatomical detail in shorter periods of time and offers advantages in diagnosing patients affected by brain, spine and musculoskeletal afflictions. Healthcare teams are able to diagnose and treat patients in a faster succession, which can lead to more favorable outcomes.

In addition to the 3T MRI, Valley Baptist-Harlingen has completed an upgrade to its second state-of-the-art MRI Unit, which includes their MRI suite with two units offering the latest technology.

These upgrades allow MRI Technologists to utilize the latest scanning techniques to provide top quality MRI images. Better visualization helps physicians to better treat patients and can reduce the need for patients to return for additional imaging.
