Valley Baptist Medical Center-Harlingen achieves yet another milestone, by receiving the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) designation – the gold standard for rehabilitation facilities.
The CARF accreditation is a symbol of a hospital’s commitment to continually enhance the quality of services and programs provided with a focus on patient satisfaction. Facilities that achieve this status have demonstrated their commitment to providing the highest quality of care.
“The CARF designation is an extraordinary accomplishment for our campus and one that took a tremendous amount of hard work to earn,” said Rosie Aguilar, Director of Rehabilitation Services for Valley Baptist Medical Center-Harlingen. “This serves as an affirmation of the high quality of care we have committed to providing our rehab patients, to ensure the best optimal outcomes.”
CARF accreditation is evidence of an organization’s drive to improve efficiencies and patient satisfaction.
“Designations such as these are an important milestone in raising the quality of care for all patients,” said Aguilar. “Our highly trained team offers comprehensive care to address the many needs of our patients and their medical conditions.”
Valley Baptist Medical Center-Harlingen Inpatient Rehab Unit is a newly expanded 22 private patient room facility with a new 2000+ sq. ft. gym and patient café. The three-year accreditation for the General Inpatient Rehab Program and the Inpatient Rehab Stroke Specialty Program recognizes the commitment to high quality rehab care.
Valley Baptist-Harlingen offers inpatient rehabilitation services specialized to rehabilitate patients who have suffered a wide-range of conditions from brain injuries to stroke or neurological conditions. All therapy programs are customized based on the individuals existing abilities, tolerance for therapy and desired outcomes.
“Our team is committed to giving our patients back the life they once had and getting them back to the activities they love most,” said Aguilar.
In addition to achieving CARF designation, Valley Baptist-Harlingen Inpatient Rehabilitation was also awarded the “Reader’s Choice Award Winner” by The Valley Morning Star, for its commitment to providing advanced therapy options and high quality care.
