Violet is currently the PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Director and a clinical pharmacy specialist at Valley Bapstist-Brownsville. Violet graduated from Texas Tech University and Health Sciences - School of Pharmacy. She completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Practice residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, TX, and PGY2 Critical Care Specialty residency at WakeMed Health and Hospitals in Raleigh, NC. During her Critical Care Specialty residency, Violet served as an Adjunct Instructor at the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy for both their Acute Care Elective and Pharmaceutical Care Lab. She is a member of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP), the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), and the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM). Violet is actively involved in developing ICU and hospital-wide protocols, expanding antimicrobial stewardship and pharmacy services, and providing continuing education to ICU nurses and clinical pharmacists. She currently serves as a preceptor for APPE Adult Medicine and Critical Care rotations for both UT and Texas A&M schools of pharmacy.
