Pharmacy Residency Preceptors

Justin is a clinical pharmacist at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville, TX. He completed his BS in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin and went on to achieve his PharmD degree at the University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy in conjunction with the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. After pharmacy school, he decided to expand upon his clinical knowledge by completing a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice residency at St. David’s Medical Center in Austin, TX. During his residency he served as a pharmacotherapy lab facilitator and preceptor for UT pharmacy students. At Valley Baptist, Justin serves as a preceptor for residents and students in both the cardiology and emergency medicine rotations. He also serves on the ASP and P&T committees and provides cardiology/infectious disease related continuing education lectures to clinical pharmacists and nurses. Justin is a member of ASHP and ACCP and his professional areas of interest include cardiology, infectious disease, and diabetes.
