Pharmacy Residency Preceptors

Justin is a clinical pharmacy specialist at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville, TX. He completed his BS in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin and went on to achieve his PharmD degree at the University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy in conjunction with the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. After pharmacy school, he decided to expand upon his clinical knowledge by completing a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice residency at St. David’s Medical Center in Austin, TX and becoming a board certified pharmacotherapy specialist. During his residency he served as a pharmacotherapy lab facilitator and preceptor for UT pharmacy students. At Valley Baptist, Justin serves as a preceptor for residents and students in the ICU rotation. He also serves on the P&T committee and provides continuing education lectures to clinical pharmacists and nurses. Justin is a member of ASHP and his professional areas of interest include ICU and cardiology.

Daisy Madrigal, PharmD, BCPS: Upon completion of the PGY1 residency, Daisy accepted a position as a clinical pharmacist at DHR Medical Center, Brownsville, TX. Daisy then accepted the position as a clinical pharmacist at University Hospital, San Antonio, TX.

Norbert Rosario, PharmD, BCPS: Upon completion of the PGY1 residency at Valley Baptist Medical Center – Brownsville and the PGY2 Ambulatory Care at University Health System, San Antonio, TX, Nobert accepted the position as an ambulatory care clinical pharmacist practitioner at Magenta Health, San Antonio, TX.
