Pressure Ulcer Prevention deals with the identification of at risk patients who are vulnerable to develop Pressure Ulcers during their stay as in-patients. Prevention strategies using evidence based medicine are initiated to prevent such Ulcers from occurring.

Pressure Ulcer Management deals with identifying patients with Pressure Ulcers. Evidence based treatment strategies/protocols are instituted to treat and prevent new Ulcer development, resulting in positive patient outcomes.
