Organizations (JCAHO) have developed a core set of
research-based quality indicators (Core Measure Initiative)
which are being used across the country to measure the
successful treatment of:
Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI)
Heart Failure
Surgical Infection PreventionThis measurement, based on evidence-based medicine, was
established to improve the safety and quality of care and
support performance improvement in hospitals. The Core Measure
Initiative allows the review of data trends to improve patient
care.
