Valley Health Care Network (VHCN) is responsible for all credentialing and re-credentialing of its members to ensure participating physicians meet the most current National Committee of Quality Assurance (NCQA) MCO Guidelines and Standards for credentialing adopted by managed care companies. By acting as the delegated interface between the managed care companies and the PHO physician, VHCN helps to reduce the administrative burden on it’s members by providing the contracted managed care companies with all necessary documents for its members.

On-Site Office Assessment

NCQA Guidelines and Standards require initial on-site office assessments for primary care physicians, including OB/GYNs prior to credentialing. VHCN has accepted the responsibility to perform the site visits from the insurers who have delegated this function to us. By performing this function, VHCN helps to minimize the disruption to physician’s offices. VHCN’s one visit eliminates the need for several insurance company visits.
