Ambulatory Surgery Center
The Ambulatory Surgery Center at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Harlingen is a multi-specialty facility where most minor surgeries are performed. Our facility consists of six operating rooms, a post-anesthesia care unit and a decontamination/sterile instrument processing area. Dedicated to improving the health status of its patients, our staff provides excellent patient care in an environment of open communication, fiscal responsibility, continuous quality improvement, and integrity. We are committed to providing professional care in an efficient, cost-effective environment to individuals requiring routine elective surgery which does not require hospitalization.

The facility has a staff of 25 dedicated individuals, who provide surgical services to both adults and children. If your condition requires outpatient surgery, chances are it can be performed at the Valley Baptist Ambulatory Surgery Center.

Some of the services include arthroscopic knee surgery and shoulder surgery, laparoscopic tubal sterilization, laparoscopic abdominal procedures, bunionectomy, carpal tunnel, cataract procedures, tonsillectomies, ear surgery, endoscopic sinus surgery, laparoscopic gall bladder surgery, dental rehabilitation, plastic surgery and others. The outpatient surgery center allows you to have surgery, spend a short amount of time recovering at the center, then return home where you are most comfortable to complete your recovery.

Ambulatory surgery allows patients to have surgery, spend a short time recovering at the center, then continue to recover in the comfort of their homes -- all in the same day.
