The Outpatient Surgery Unit at Valley Baptist Medical Center was established to accommodate the need for new, short stay surgical approaches. These new procedures are designed to allow patients to undergo surgery, recover in a monitored room, and leave the hospital to return home, usually all on the same day.
Being part of a larger medical complex is of particular importance. Should unforeseen problems arise during an outpatient procedure, Valley Baptist Medical Center’s full service facilities and experienced staff are immediately available to provide care.
Outpatient procedures are now frequently used for the most common surgeries in ear, nose and throat, ophthalmology, orthopedics, plastic surgery, lithotripsy, hand surgery, urology, dermatology, oral and maxillofacial surgery, gallbladder removal and gynecological procedures.
Register for outpatient surgery and for pre-surgical testing in the outpatient department of the hospital.
