The purpose of this program is accomplished through a process of transition from the simple
to the complex in both theory and clinical learning opportunities. The program incorporates the following goals:
- To provide knowledge and experience, through theoretical and clinical components, that will prepare graduates for the NCLEX (National Council Licensure Examination).
- To provide learning opportunities that will allow the individual to be a safe and competent practitioner, capable of meeting the basic needs of a client (patient), acutely or chronically ill, with predicable health outcomes in a structured health care setting.
- To provide a learning environment in which the student can grow professionally and personally.
- To cultivate an ability to work harmoniously with other members of the health care team to meet the holistic needs of the client
