Orthopedic Services

When we say that Valley Baptist is a joint pain center, we don’t just mean that we perform hip and knee replacements.

Orthopedic Care

This is a specialty area at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Harlingen.  Valley Baptist Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Robert Crous is fellowship trained in orthopedic trauma, and prepared to deal with major trauma from accidents or falls, such as pelvic fractures and other major traumatic injury.

How we take care of you is different as well:

  • Many of our patients are only with us for the day, but we still place them in a hospital room before surgery, and return them to that room afterward.
  • We have a Total Joint Coordinator, who works with our patients who are having an entire joint replaced to make sure all their needs are met.
  • Our Dedicated Support Teams are made up of highly skilled nurses and other care providers, many of whom have been with us 20 years or more.
  • Our orthopedic surgeons also take care of professional and amateur athletes’ injuries, emergency-room cases involving severe injuries and even the tiny bones and muscles found in your hands.
No matter what the problem, we can take care of you. That’s Valley Baptist Care.
