CT Scan

It can be scary going into a procedure where you’re unsure of what is about to happen. At Valley Baptist we know an informed patient is a happy patient, so we don’t want any surprises.

That’s Valley Baptist Care.

A CT, or computed tomography, scan uses X-rays to make detailed pictures of structures inside your body. During the CT scan test, you will lie on a table inside a doughnut-shaped machine that sends X-ray pulses through the body. Each pulse lasts less than a second and takes a picture of a thin slice of the organ or area being studied.

A CT Scan can be used to study:

  • Liver
  • Pancreas
  • Kidney
  • Adrenal glands
  • Lungs
  • Blood vessels
  • Bones
  • Spinal cord
