HANDICAPPED CHILDREN OF VALLEY TO EXPERIENCE WESTERN ROUND-UP OCTOBER 17 IN SAN BENITO

San Benito -- Valley children with disabilities and special needs will get a chance to experience a Western round-up -- some for the first time -- on Saturday, October 17 from 9:30 a.m. until 12 noon during a “Miracle Kids of South Texas” event at Heavin Park, located along the resaca in San Benito (on the west side of Business 77, two blocks north of Sam Houston).

The event, sponsored by Valley Baptist Health System, will enable disabled and special-needs children ages 5 to 15 and their siblings to participate in a variety of fun games and western-themed booths, including a dunking booth, and to win prizes. There will also be popcorn, hotdogs, chips, drinks, and cotton candy. “We’re inviting the Miracle Kids to dress up in their jeans, cowboy hats and western gear and come join in the fun!,” said Judy Quisenberry, Director of Development for the Valley Baptist Foundation.
