Class Descriptions
Body Pump™ – The original barbell class that strengthens your entire body. This 60-minute workout challenges all your major muscle groups by using the best weight-room exercises like squats, presses, lifts and curls. Great music, awesome instructors and your choice of weight inspire you to get the results you came for – and fast!
Body Combat ™ – is the empowering cardio workout where you are totally unleashed. This fiercely energetic program is inspired by martial arts and draws from a wide array of disciplines such as Karate, boxing, Tae-kwon-do, Tai Chi and Muay Thai. Supported by driving music and powerful role model instructors strike, punch, kick and kata your way through calories to superior cardio fitness.
Studio Cycling – Spinning in each of the energy zones – endurance, strength, and interval. This class is a cardiovascular training – not just a workout.
Yoga – Vinyasa is a term that covers a broad range of yoga classes. The word Vinyasa means “breath-synchronized movement.” In other words, the teacher will instruct you to move from one pose to the next on an inhale or an exhale. This style allows for a lot of variety, but will almost certainly include Sun Salutations. Expect movement and strengthening not just stretching.
Pilates – Pilates is a form of exercise, developed by Joseph Pilates, which emphasizes the balanced development of the body through core strength, flexibility, and awareness in order to support efficient, graceful movement.
Step Aerobics – Rhythmic exercises performed to music that stimulates the aerobic capacity of the heart and lungs, burns calories and improves endurance. A great toning class too.
Advanced Step Aerobics – For individuals who want to take their cardio to a more intense level.
Kid’s Fitness – Circuit training program w/pilates, resistance bands, cardio kickboxing, boot camp, free weights and cardio training for kids of ages 6-11 yrs.
Zumba – is a Latin-inspired, dance-fitness class that incorporates Latin and International music and dance movements, which create a dynamic, exciting, and effective fitness system! This class format combines fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body in an aerobic/fitness fashion to achieve a unique blended balance of cardio and muscle-toning benefits.
