Mission
Valley Health Care Network's mission is “to combine the efforts and resources of physicians, clinics and hospitals resulting in an organized and integrated delivery system which offers health care services of demonstrable value to our community.”
Governance
The Board of Directors governing Valley Health Care Network (VHCN) consists of all licensed physicians, actively engaged in the practice of medicine. The VHCN Board designates several committees comprised of VHCN members that are responsible to the Board for the following specific functions:
- Credentials
- Education
- Strategic Planning
- Financial Performance
History
Valley Baptist Health System and medical staff knew that they must work together in a more holistic way to proactively assert themselves in the managed care market to provide demonstrably high quality/low cost services to their common customers, the patient and payor. Both groups knew their individual success was dependent on the successes of the other. VHCN was officially formed on May 19, 1994.
