About
Created in October 2003 to provide service for the medically underserved pediatric population of the Lower Rio Grande Valley Previously one full time pediatric gastroenterologist serving the 1 million pediatric population, now existing three.

Initial set up as a hospital-based clinic on the 4th Floor of the East Tower in an unused wing of pediatric inpatient floor. Now located on the 6th floor of the Medical Arts Pavilion, functioning like a private office.

Procedures in the state-of-art, newly remodeled Endoscopy Lab located in the North Tower, shared by all gastroenterologists and pulmonologists

Goals of the Clinic
To provide consultation service in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition.

Through affiliation with UTHSCSA to provide teaching of third and forth year medical students.

To partake in the process and support the application for a Pediatric Residency Program.

Accepted Insurance Plans
We currently accept Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Valley Health Plans, Superior Health Plans (Chips) and other major insurance carriers.
