Welcome to Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen. With over 2,000 employees and 390 members of the medical staff, our goal is to offer our patients excellent service in a Christian environment.
Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen is actively involved in training the next generation of physicians through its teaching partnership with the Regional Academic Health Center (RAHC), a subsidiary of the renowned University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. As a teaching hospital, our faculty physicians train medical students in the 3rd and 4th years of medical school and they train residents in the specialties of Family Medicine and Internal Medicine.
We are very proud of our expanded relationship with the Veterans Administration (VA), which allows the men and women who served our country to stay in the Valley for most of their health care needs rather than traveling to San Antonio.
From our humble beginning in 1925, Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen has grown to serve the expanding population in the Rio Grande Valley while staying true to our Christian mission.
