Discharge Notice
Your physician will write an order on your medical record
indicating the day of your discharge. You are not charged for
the room the day you go home. Usually financial arrangements
will have been made before you are discharged. If not, you or a
member of your family will be requested to go to the Medical
Center’s Business Office, which is located adjacent to the main
lobby on the first floor, near the main entrance.
When appropriate financial arrangements have been made, the
financial counselor in the Business Office will sign your
“Discharge Notice”. Present the signed “Discharge Notice” to the
nurses on your unit and you will be ready to go home. Your nurse
will help you reclaim your valuables.
