VBHS addresses the resolution of complaints from patients and families. On admission patients are given in writing the phone number 389-EARS (3277) to voice a complaint. If the concern is not resolved patients may call Texas Department of State Health Services at 1-888-973-0022.
Joint Commission
Do you have a complaint about the quality of care at a Joint Commission-accredited health care organization? The Joint Commission wants to know about it. Send us your complaint by mail, fax or e-mail. Summarize the issues in one to two pages and include the name, street address, city, and state of the health care organization.
When submitting a complaint to the Joint Commission about an accredited organization, you may either provide your name and contact information or submit your complaint anonymously. Providing your name and contact information enables the Joint Commission to inform you about the actions taken in response to your complaint, and also to contact you should additional information be needed.
It is our policy to treat your name as confidential information and not to disclose it to any other party. However, it may be necessary to share the complaint with the subject organization in the course of a complaint investigation.
Joint Commission policy forbids accredited organizations from taking retaliatory actions against employees for having reported quality of care concerns to the Joint Commission.

Quejas o Preocupaciones
Valley Baptist Health System se dirige a la resolución de quejas de pacientes y familias. En la admisión se le da a los pacientes por escrito el numero de telefono 389-EARS (5277) para expresar una queja. Si la preocupación no es resuelta los pacientes pueden llamar el Departamento de la Seguridad Social Estatal en Texas en 1-888-973-0022.
Reporte quejas referentes a organizaciones del cuidado de la salud.
¿Tiene usted alguna queja acerca de la calidad de los servicios de alguna organización de la salud, acreditada por The Joint Comisión, (por su traducción al español, La Comisión Adjunta)? Sí, es así The Joint Commission quiere saber al respecto. Mande su queja por correo, fax o correo electrónico. Resuma los hechos en una o dos páginas e incluya el nombre, dirección, ciudad y estado de la organización al cuidado de la salud.
Al remitir una queja a The Joint Commission, usted podrá proveernos con su nombre e información para contactarle o si lo prefiere podrá remitir su queja anónimamente. Al proveernos con su información usted nos permite informarle acerca de acciones tomadas en relación con su queja, así como contactarle en caso de requerirse más información.
Nuestra política nos exige el tratar su nombre con la más alta confidencialidad y nos prohíbe revelarlo a cualquier parte solicitante. Sin embargo podría ser necesario compartir esta información con la organización involucrada a fin de llevar a cabo la investigación correspondiente.
La política de The Joint Commission prohíbe a organizaciones acreditadas el tomar acciones en contra de empleados que reporten preocupaciones referentes al cuidado de la salud a esta comisión.
