Black Tie Bash
The first-ever charity event to benefit Valley Baptist Medical Center-Brownsville was held Jan. 19, 2007 at the Brownsville Event Center.

The 1st Annual Black Tie Bash was an elegant evening featuring exquisite food, prepared by Executive Chef Renee Ilog, and fantastic musical entertainment by “Metropoli,” a 14-member band from Monterrey, Mexico.

This first-ever charity ball for Valley-Baptist-Brownsville celebrated the women in our lives while benefiting the Women’s Center at Valley Baptist.

Valley Baptist purchased the Brownsville hospital two years ago.  Since that time, total capital investment in the main Brownsville campus is in excess of 100 million.  Valley Baptist Health System is a comprehensive community health system committed to providing the highest quality of patient care that is both professional and compassionate.

The Valley Baptist Foundation exists to assure philanthropic support for state-of-the-art technology and facilities, advanced health care services, community programs and medical education offered at our hospitals.  This event raised over $65,000 to benefit the women’s center as well as 2 patient assistance funds, one for mammograms for women who can’t afford this critical exam and for breast prosthesis for cancer survivors.

Cardon Healthcare Network, Inc. is serving as Presenting Sponsor for the Black Tie Bash.
