Helping Abused Children

Our recent Children’s Gala benefited abused children in the Valley by supporting establishment of the Valley’s first Child to Adult Abuse Response Team at Valley Baptist.  The new program provides abused children, adolescents and adults with immediate medical care, assessment of abuse, and assistance in accessing the services they need to stop abuse.  Help is offered to victims in a specially-equipped, child-friendly emergency room within Valley Baptist Medical Center-Harlingen, which provides an immediate, safe haven for victims of abuse and violence.  - More
