Valley Care Health Network

At Valley Baptist Medical System, we know that doctors want to focus on their patients above all else. That’s why the Valley Health Care Network offers a number of services to physicians throughout the Rio Grande Valley.

Here are some of the benefits of Valley Health Care Network membership:

Managed Care Contracting

Valley Health Care Network holds several managed care contracts that member physicians may participate in as network providers.

Delegated Credentialing and Re-Credentialing

Valley Health Care Network is responsible for all credentialing and re-credentialing of its members to ensure that its participating physicians meet the most current National Committee of Quality Assurance (NCQA) MCO Guidelines and Standards for credentialing adopted by managed care companies.

By acting as the delegated interface between the managed care companies and the PHO physician, VHCN helps to reduce the administrative burden on it’s members by providing the contracted managed care companies with all necessary documents for its members.

Practice Management Workshops

Valley Health Care Network coordinates regular seminars for member physicians’ office staff. The sessions are designed to help the physician’s staff work effectively in today’s ever-changing managed-care environment.

Educational workshops on various topics are available at a discounted rate for you and your staff, and are held annually at both Valley Baptist Health Care campuses. For more information on workshops or to register, call (800) 259-5562.

UpToDate is a clinical information resource providing current answers to clinical questions across all of internal medicine, including subspecialties, as well as Family Medicine, OB/GYN and Pediatrics.

VHCN members will receive a $100 discount off the purchase of this subscription for their office. New editions of UpToDate are published three times a year, ensuring rapid access to valuable new information. Included are hundreds of patient information handouts to help healthcare professionals teach patients and their families about medical conditions and treatment options.

Please contact Natalie Butler at (512) 392-0228 if you are interested.

CME Opportunity
