Reporting a Complaint
Do you have a complaint about the quality of care at a Joint Commission-accredited health care organization? The Joint Commission wants to know about it. Send us your complaint by mail, fax or e-mail. Summarize the issues in one to two pages and include the name, street address, city, and state of the health care organization.

It is our policy to treat your name as confidential information and not to disclose it to any other party. However, it may be necessary to share the complaint with the subject organization in the course of a complaint investigation. Joint Commission policy forbids accredited organizations from taking retaliatory actions against employees for having reported quality of care concerns to the Joint Commission.

Please let us know if you have a complaint or concern by calling (956) 389-EARS or extension x13277. Valley Baptist Medical Center-Harlingen has a process to address all patient/family concerns and appropriate action is taken on every concern.

If your complaint is not resolved at the hospital you may call Texas Department of Health at 1-888-973-0022 or write a letter to The Joint Commission Hospital Accreditation.

Presentación de Quejas sobre una Organización de Cuidado de la Salud

¿Tiene alguna queja sobre la calidad del servicio ofrecido por una organización dedicada al cuidado de la salud? La Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations desea saber cuál es su queja. Envíe su queja por correo, fax o por correo electrónico. Resuma los problemas en una o dos páginas y ponga el nombre, el domicilio, la ciudad y el estado de la organización dedicada al cuidado de la salud.

Es política nuestra tratar su nombre como información confidencial y no permitir a ninguna otra instancia el acceder a ella. Sin embargo, durante el curso de investigación de una queja, puede resultar necesario la participación de la organización sujeta a dicha investigación. Las políticas de la Joint Commission prohíben a las organizaciones acreditadas el tomar represalias contra las empleados por haber reportado inquietudes relacionadas con la atención.
