Charity Ball in Brownsville to Benefit Women's
Services
BROWNSVILLE, Nov. 27, 2006 – The first-ever charity
event to benefit Valley Baptist Medical Center-Brownsville will be held
Jan. 19 at the Brownsville Event Center, 1 Event Center Blvd. off
Paredes Line Road.
The 1st Annual Black Tie Bash will be an elegant evening featuring
exquisite food and fantastic musical entertainment by “Metropoli,” a
14-member band from Monterrey, Mexico.
“This first-ever charity ball for Valley Baptist-Brownsville will
celebrate the women in our lives while benefiting the Women’s Center at
Valley Baptist,” said Judy Quisenberry, Director of Development for the
Valley Baptist Foundation.
Valley Baptist purchased the Brownsville hospital two years ago.
Since that time, total capital investment in the main Brownsville campus
is in excess of $100 million. Valley Baptist Health System is a
comprehensive community health system committed to providing the highest
quality of patient care that is both professional and compassionate.
The Valley Baptist Foundation exists to assure philanthropic support
for state-of-the-art technology and facilities, advanced health care
services, community programs and medical education offered at our
hospitals. In fiscal year 2006 alone, Valley Baptist Health System
provided $244 million to 123,515 patients in uncompensated care for
charity, Medicaid and Medicare patients.
“As a partner in this endeavor, you would be helping Valley
Baptist make a difference in the health and well being of the
community we serve,” Ms. Quisenberry added. “I hope you’ll make
plans to join us for an unforgettable evening!”
