Valley Baptist Chaplains Make Us Proud!

Valley Baptist Chaplains participated in this year's annual Association of Professional Chaplains Conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico this past April. Chaplains David Mann and Jennifer Bordenet completed the process and received their certificates as Board Certified Chaplains.

There were other recognitions as well for Valley Baptist… Dr. John F. Teer, Valley Baptist Health System Clinical Pastoral Education Director, was appointed to the national Chaplain Certification Commission of the APC. Dr. Teer has served as the Chaplain Certification Chair for the states of Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico for the past two years and will also continue in that capacity. As part of this position, Dr. Teer assisted in a teaching forum to help APC chaplain learn about how to support the certification process for new members.

Joe Perez, Vice President, coordinated and led an interfaith worship service for the APC. Joe also holds a national office as APC Coordinator-State Membership Chairs. And finally, Fr. Edouard Atangana, M. Div., and Sister Ann M. Brangan, M.A., CCVI, alumni from our Clinical Pastoral Education Center, received certifications as well.
