Support Group to begin new session and
you're encouraged to attend!

Life after Loss is a 6 week support meeting for those who have experienced the loss of a loved one over the past few weeks or in the recent past.

About Our Group
For the last several years the Pastoral Services Department here at Valley Baptist has worked in conjunction with the Sandi Jo Funk Hospice Program to offer this service to the community and to the clients served
by Hospice. The group will begin meeting on Thursday April 22nd and will run for the next 6 consecutive Thursday afternoons from 2:00-3:30pm. 

The group meets at the Sandi Jo Funk Hospice office located at 4405 Glasscock Street in Harlingen.  Many times, it's referred to as the old Sears warehouse building.


Topics will include the following:
  • What to Expect
     
  • The process of Grief
     
  • Living with Memories
     
  • Needs When You are Grieving
     
  • Honoring Special Occasions
     
  • What Now?
Each session will involve some teaching aspect about grief and plenty of time for persons to share their personal experience if they wish to do so.

There will be a session in Spanish beginning May 6th.
