Jerral Jackson Joins Valley Health Plans As Senior Account Representative
HARLINGEN, TEXAS - March 2004 – Jerral B. Jackson of
South Padre Island has joined Valley Health Plans, the Valley’s first
“home-grown” health insurance plan, as a new Senior Account
Representative. Mr. Jackson’s appointment was announced by Karen
Pederson, President & CEO of Valley Health Plans.
 Mr.
Jackson’s responsibilities will include managing the Valley Health Plans
sales staff. Valley Health
Plans, which is an affiliate of Valley Baptist Health System,
provides health insurance for some of the largest employers in the
Valley, including Valley Baptist Medical Center, the Harlingen
Consolidated Independent School District, and the City of Harlingen. The
company also recently introduced a new health insurance plan for small
businesses and individuals in Cameron County.
Mr. Jackson previously worked in the insurance business with Allstate
Insurance of Irving, near Dallas. While with Allstate, he was
responsible for the growth of a local agency to the $1.1 million level
in earned premiums. In recognition, Mr. Jackson was awarded the
company’s “Conference of Champions” Honor Ring.
Mr. Jackson holds licensure in Group 1 Life & Health and Personal
Lines of insurance through the Texas Dept. of Insurance. He received his
Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas
at Arlington.
Mr. Jackson also previously served as a financial consultant with
IFMG Securities, Inc., of Purchase, New York, where he worked extensively
with bank clients and their investment options.
